Exclusive Interview with Brisbane's next Bright Young Thing- Jackson Casagrande

We managed to score a quick 5 minutes with Brisbane's keeny-baked-beany Photographer, Jackson Casagrande.
With a love of old antiques, a strict rule on no photoshop, a talent for making fancy dress costumes and a keen eye with old camera's, he's taking brisbane's photography world by the balls. His work has been featured on front covers of magazines, and he's greeting the begginning of the year with an early acceptance to exclusive Uni positions and still getting more. He makes polaroid [even more] fashionable. We managed to score 5 mins with him.

ROF: When did you first realise you were snap happy?
JC: " I’ve always been interested in art since I was a kid, partly due to my Uncle being an artist. But it was when he died unfortunately, I inherited his cameras. So I guess this was the inception of it all."

ROF: In your wildest dreams, who would you like to shoot?
JC: "Dovima. Too bad she's dead."

ROF: No like really, who would you like to SHOOT?!
JC: ".......Liza Minelli"

ROF: You do alot of fashion editorial style shoots, What trait do you hate amongst Models while they're on a shoot?
JC: "Complaining about heat and doing a photo that they want, not what I want."

ROF: On the timeline of your life, where do you think you'll be in the next 10 years?
JC: "Hopefully New York, working for a mad publication. If not, working at “Star Shots” at Chermside"

ROF: Would you say you have particular places that you search for inspiration (mags, artists, music, etc)?
JC: "Mainly, books. Like, giant photographers books that cost and weigh a ton. Also magazines like ACNE Paper."

ROF: Who is your favvo Celebrity?
JC: "Not really a celebrity, but he was famous, Richard Avedon "

ROF: Who is your favvo Non-Celebrity?
JC: "By non-celebrity, do you mean a celebrity that completely sucks, and career is completely dead? If so, the obvious choice is Liza Minnelli. I just hate her so much. "

ROF: What are you lovin’ in the likes of fashion right now? (menswear, womenswear, textures, colours, style, etc)
JC: "Old. Much Old. Grandpa's shorts as he was a kid, Giant soup cans and a classic white shirt. You can't go wrong"

ROF: Will You become a Religion of Fashion Follower?
JC: " YES [ tick] NO[ ]
